Meet The Team
The Baldy Carpenter
Fraser founded the business in 2009 from a garden shed. Redundancy brought about a change of career and he quite literally started the business from the ground up. Baldy HQ has come a long way from that first ten foot square shed that he built as the first Baldy HQ. Several workshops later we have found our home where you will find us all today.
While he spends a fair amount of time doing Baldy stuff he also finds time to follow his other passion of Scouting. Fulfilling many roles within the movement has led various expeditions overseas to Poland, South Africa and New Zealand. Currently though he is staying local and enjoying being part of the leadership team providing the scout section to youth members within Strathaven.

As the business grew so did the number of staff required. Graeme joined the business in 2016 as Fraser’s first employee. Graeme has a long service record within the woodworking industry and his knowledge and passion was, and still is, vital in helping the brand to grow. Fraser and Graeme are closely tuned to each other and during installations it has been noted from customers that they do very little talking but just somehow they both know what the other needs right at that point. Away from Baldy Graeme is also a member of the Scout Association and works in supporting many of the sections as an additional pair of hands. He has a further passion for the rally sport and can be found doing rally recovery duties across the country.
Naomi joined the business in 2019. She initially came in to help Fraser with the administration but quickly asked if she could chop up some wood!. You can find Naomi now split between the office and the workshop but we really think her heart lies in the workshop more. Naomi is part time and is a speech and language therapist when she is not with us. Naomi is also a member of the Scout Association and works within the Scout section.
Lottie
Lottie Dog, the workshop mut. She spends most of the day on security duties watching the front door for unsuspecting guests. She is super friendly and loves a scratch behind her ears. You will leave with half of her attached to your trousers so don’t come wearing a black suit.
