Coming from Glasgow and the north

If you're coming from Glasgow and the north you should travel via the M74 to junction 4 Hamilton. Follow the one way system through Hamilton following signs for Strathaven and continue to Strathaven. On entering Strathaven continue on main road until T junction ahead. Turn right and continue down hill to traffic lights at bottom.(Commercial Road)at traffic light and turn left onto Barn street. Continue through next set of traffic lights after which take the 1st left, signposted Carlise M74.(Thomson Street). At the top of the hill turn left onto Kirk street. At next set of lights turn right into Station road where you will see the signs for The Baldy Carpenter up ahead.

Coming from Edinburgh and the east

If you're coming from Edinburgh and the east you should arrive via the M8/A8/M74 and continue as described above.

Alternatively you can travel via the A71. On entering strathaven pass straight through mini roundabout and pedestrian lights. At first set of traffic lights turn left into Station road where you will see signs for the Baldy Carpenter up ahead.

Coming from the south

If you're coming from the south you should proceed north on the M74 to junction 8. Follow signs for Kilmarnock A71 and proceed as above if using A71 from the East
